Well, what a couple of months that has been, training has been good but never without some small hiccups, I was forced to pull out of the New Plymouth Half Ironman at the last minute but have bounced back and am focused on putting together a solid performance in Abu Dhabi next weekend.

Looking at the field assembling you would think that it is the World Championships! This is a great stepping stone for me in the longer distance racing, to race the best over an unusual distance of 3km – 200km – 20km will be perfect for my development and preparation for Cairns Ironman debut in June....!

It’s great that I get to continue my relationship with Nike wearing their shoes and training apparel for the 2011 year. Nike have stood behind me my whole career and provide me with endless product that has helped me consistently perform (and look good!) haha.
