With the days getting shorter and the temperatures taking a chilling dive what better way to finish the racing season at the Final “State Ocean Swim series” of the summer, the King of the Bays Ocean Swim!!!
This is the premier swim series in NZ and attracts a field of all abilities even the odd dog (literally) has a swim around the coast. There are great prizes up for grabs, so stick round after the event to be in to win!
This year in preparation for Ironman Brazil and Challenge Cairns Vo2coached athlete Candace Hammond, Coaches Keegan Williams and Myself will be competing in the 2.8km (I’m going long) swim which starts from Milford Beach and makes its way around the beautiful shores to Takapuna beach.
